People want to know more about ONdigital

120,000 people have responded to ONdigital's national press advertisements, in the three weeks since ONdigital announced its programmes and pricing. This demonstrates clearly the level of interest in digital TV.

Stephen Grabiner, Chief Executive of ONdigital says:

"The response we have had to our initial announcement and advertisements has been staggering. It is particularly pleasing, given that we have not yet even begun our main advertising campaign.
"It demonstrates the tremendous potential demand for ONdigital and the services we will offer. These potential customers clearly recognise that we are the simpler way to get more of the TV they want to watch.
"There is now no doubt that people's appetite for more - but not too much more – television, without the hassle of a dish or cable, is enormous.
"We are now almost there. We will be ready to begin to meet the appetite for plug and play television when we launch on 15 November."

ONdigital is now completing its final technical tests ahead of going on air on 15 November. Test transmissions are now taking place across the UK, in preparation for the launch; the ONdigital multiplex centre continues the planned testing programme of equipment and signals.
